Kata graduated with honors from Animal Behavior College in 2007 and established Cave Canis with a focus on Obedience Training and Problem Behavior. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
Kata’s first dog training experience involved training seeing-eye dogs in Budapest and over the course of her career she has also worked for groomers and as a veterinary assistant.
In 2016, she began working with gun dogs as a balanced trainer, not using e-collars. She believes that if owners take the time to build a bond with their dogs, they can achieve the same goals that they would with an e-collar.
Cave Canis, translated from Latin, means ‘Take care of the dog” which, as dog owners, is our primary responsibility. To achieve this, our core objective at Cave Canis is to train both dogs and owners in a way that nurtures the dog’s instincts creating a balanced, healthy family pet… and accomplished hunting partner.
